Adapting a premium advertising solution to an evolving construction programme
The Property
Emerson Chambers is a Grade II listed building occupying a prominent position in the heart of Newcastle city centre, forming part of the Eldon Square estate and benefiting from significant pedestrian visibility within one of the city's busiest retail areas.
Planned refurbishment works and the associated scaffolding created an opportunity to deliver a premium large format advertising scheme, generating significant additional revenue for the property owner while improving the visual appearance of the construction site.
The construction programme presented a number of logistical and technical challenges that required the advertising scheme to adapt as the works progressed.
The scaffold incorporated a temporary roof structure and subsequently increased in height, requiring amendments to the building wrap and advertising scheme during the project. The solution also needed to accommodate the operational requirements of the building and its occupiers throughout the works.
MediaCo OOH worked closely with SVJ Rutter and the wider project team to coordinate these changes and ensure the advertising scheme could evolve alongside the construction programme while maintaining a high quality appearance.
